About Me

I’m an independent consultant with almost 20 years of experience working in the cultural heritage sector. My mission is to support sector organisations to develop representative audiences, leverage income, build resilience and develop sustainable organisational growth.

An experienced senior leader, I specialise in project management (developing and delivering projects), strategic thinking and research, including visioning, business planning and financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement and audience development, to bring change to people and communities.

I have wide ranging experience of working with diverse organisations, including volunteer and community groups, councils, places of worship, charities, independent and national museums.

I spent over a decade working at the National Lottery Heritage Fund within the grants team supporting projects from conception to evaluation, and have also worked in consultancy as a Senior Consultant at Barker Langham and as a Director at Tricolor where I led organisational development. As a Theatres At Risk Adviser at the Theatres Trust I led support to theatres on the Trust’s At Risk Register with mentoring and advice in: early-stage evidencing of project viability; organisational capacity and governance; audience development; and business planning, leading stakeholder engagement, networking and influencing to drive forward projects.

As a consultant, I have worked on over 20 successful NLHF and Arts Council England projects delivering well researched, creative and financially sustainable strategies that place the needs of existing and potential audiences at their centre. I enjoy supporting projects and organisations across a wide spectrum including museums, historic buildings, designed parks, landscapes and the natural environment and have worked on complex, multi-stakeholder and multi-discipline projects.

I’m Prince2 Project Management trained and a qualified Change Management Practitioner; with efficient project planning and management skills my projects are delivered on time and to budget and ensure that change can be effectively delivered. My close and collaborative working relationships with clients and stakeholders ensure the best results - so your projects are in safe hands!
